Ambassadors of Cuban Folklore

Known as The Ambassadors of Cuban Folklore, Conjunto Guantánamo is dedicated to preserving the authentic spirit of traditional Cuban music. Produced through a collaboration between Guararey Records and Nganga Records, these recordings faithfully recreate the sound, instrumentation and musical identity of Cuba's earliest son ensembles. Inspired by the legacy of Septeto Nacional de Ignacio Piñeiro, as well as legendary artists such as Arsenio Rodríguez, Benny Moré, Roberto Faz, and Miguelito Cuní, the project honors the roots of Cuban music by recreating the character, performance style and recording aesthetics that shaped its original sound. Together, these productions stand as a living tribute to the original sound of Cuban music, recreating its authenticity while celebrating one of Latin America's greatest musical traditions.
